One of Tesla's greatest objective was to develop the right design of the magnifying transmitter which should be able to transmit huge quatities of energy through the air and could be received from any point of the earth surface by tuning the system to the earth resonance in some concept called longitudinal waves. The precise design and the principles are still uknown and it represents a controversial topic knowing that everyday the wireless electricity is more plausible but probablly just for short distances.
